For two decades Saab has been committed to creating and supporting advanced naval operational systems in Australia.  Our  initial success was based on transfer of technology from our Swedish  parent company but  now our expertise is independently recognised in our open-style communication with our customers and highly skilled and motivated professional workforce.

In the naval defence area, Saab is researching and developing capabilities with modelling and simulation, hardware assessments, architectural studies and investigating new applications for combat management, ship control and command support systems. For example Saab is initiating Open Architecture  technology and integrating new sensor technologies and systems in collaboration with partner companies and the Department of Defence.

Our naval expertise is founded on robust systems for national defence with a credible global reputation spanning 100 years. As a young Australian company we've worked hard to develop systems, products, services and technologies for the rapidly changing Navies of today.

Our strengths are in ship combat systems, integration and support; submarine control, ship modelling and simulation, commercial maritime safety and all support and systems training.
