The National Privacy Principles

What is personal information?

This is information about an individual that identifies that individual. For example, your name, contact details, age, insurance history or financial details.

What is sensitive information?

This kind of personal information is more specific information about an individual, such as an individual's health, racial or ethnic origins, political opinions, religious beliefs and criminal record.

Employee records are currently exempt from the Privacy Principles. However, Saab has a confidentiality policy for the use, storage and disposal of employee records.

Your privacy obligations

Many companies have an obligation to comply with the Privacy Principles. If you provide us with personal information about an individual, Saab expects that you have made them aware that you will or may provide information about them to Saab.
