Saab Introduces Low-Cost Situation Awareness

Saab is launching its new generation of command and control systems designed for border security and surveillance operations. With core software based on the 9LV Combat Management System, the 9LV Situation Awareness Terminal (SAT) brings large ship command and control capabilities to small craft.

Working closely with regional navies,  Saab has developed a lightweight, modular and scalable system which can be fitted in all sizes of vessels to provide situational awareness.

Project Manager for 9LV SAT, Mr Anthony Cassidy said, “This system provides users with a simple touch-screen interface to a wealth of track, data link, intelligence and positional information. It is rugged, totally modular and can interface to existing radars, GPS and traffic management systems"

“The efficiency and safety of maritime operations can be dramatically improved if all assets share information and location,” Mr Cassidy added.

9LV SAT was on display on the Saab stand at the IMDEX event in Singapore, image below.
