Company Profile

Based in Adelaide, the company specialises in advanced operational military systems solutions developed either individually, or in partnership with companies that have complementary products and skills. Within the past year, Saab Systems Pty Ltd has adapted this expertise into the civil security market.

The Australian company is part of the global Saab Group that employs 12,800 people worldwide and generates annual revenue exceeding $A3.5 billion — much of which is re-invested in research and development.

Saab is one of the world’s leading high technology companies with its main operations focussing on defence, aviation, space and civil security. The Group covers a broad spectrum of competence and capability in systems integration.

Air & Land Systems
The Air & Land Division develops command support systems and command and control systems such as the Battlefield Command Support System used by the Australian Army during tactical operations. These systems are backed up by extensive technical support services using the latest available technologies. The integration and application of these technologies reflects on-going research and development, customer feedback and consultation. Building on Saab’s vision of a ‘seamless battlespace’, Saab Systems is also working with the Australian Army on the digitisation of the complex battlefield environment.
