Wayne was educated in Adelaide, South Australia and spent his formative engineering years working in the European space industry in the United Kingdom and Germany, holding positions with British Aerospace, the European Space Agency and the International Maritime Satellite Organisation (INMARSAT).
Since returning to Australia in 1992, Wayne has been Director of the South Australian Centre for Parallel Computing at Adelaide University, Chief Engineer and General Manager of QuikTrak Technologies and Chief Engineer and Engineering Manager with BAE SYSTEMS.
Wayne and his wife Karen have two teenage children and live in the scenic Adelaide Hills. Karen is an ex nurse who has discovered a passion for history and is currently completing a PhD at Flinders University which makes for many interesting after work discussions. With increasing age and wisdom Wayne is getting round the squash court in a less frenetic manner, has taken up the old man's game of golf and is trying to spend less time tending the garden and more time enjoying the wine cellar. |
