Saab delivers prison security system

Defence and security systems company, Saab has delivered its security management system to the South East Queensland Corrections Precinct project.

Following rigorous testing over 28 days, Queensland Correctional Services has accepted delivery of Saab OneViewTM comprehensive security systems for its newest correctional facility near Gatton in Queensland.

This system provides an IP based, integrated view of all security components including surveillance cameras, access controls, trip wires and many other sensors and controls. Following on from Saab's integrated combat systems for the Australian Army and Navy, this technology is unique in the non-defence realm.

"Saab OneViewTM gives the prison controllers broad, intelligent access and correlation of information throughout the correctional facility and enables clear and comprehensive control of the whole security environment within the prison," said Mr Dean Rosenfield, General Manager of Saab Security in Adelaide.

The customer, Queensland Correctional Service and prime contractor, Baulderstone have praised Saab's technological superiority and service oriented approach to meet this challenging project on time and within budget.
